Six years later and I decided to see if this blog still existed. Kind of shocked that these things never get purged so it seems. With the advent of MySpace and then the disappearance of MySpace and the explosion of Facebook I wonder if anyone truly blogs anymore. It just goes to illustrate what they say about anything you post on the internet being permanent. It amazes me the things people post or put out there but that is another story for another day.

A Little Bit of Nostalgia
Long story, but I remember back in Middle School this was my favorite song so I played it over and over in my room. Mom and Dad I posted this just for you, listen to it closely I am sure you will remember it!

MBA Project Presentation
Last night I had to present my MBA project to my project advisor and classmates. The presentation was supposed to come in at 12 - 15 minutes. I did the best I could to cut it short and came in at 18 minutes so I was docked for going over my time. Thankfully I wasn't the guy who spoke for a half an hour. It was kind of difficult because the screen and communication lagged about 5 - 7 seconds so as you were attempting to switch slides you had a bit of a delay which cause a couple of uncomfortable pauses for me but all in all "It is what it is," and I received an "A" so I am completely satisfied.

"It Is What It Is!"
I think I have found my new phrase. "It Is What It Is!" I officially adopted the phrase yesterday as I was driving in my car to Lemoore and talking to my supervisor at the school on my cell phone. I think this applies to so much going on in my life right now, we work so hard for things that we have very little influence in changing. This comment came about in response to the high school graduation at the West Park Charter Academy, while the district has 5 school board members not a single one set aside the time to actually show up for the ceremony. As part of teachers contracts they want to work these kinds of activities in as things we are required to attend however, not a single board member can figure out it is their responsibility as an elected official.
"It Is What It Is" also applies to group work in Master's Levels courses taken in an online environment, or for that matter to certain online classes and instructors in general. I am not going to go too far into this one at this point but I think it signifies the frustration I am currently feeling. I can not wait until September when it is over.
Finally, "It Is What It Is" applies to running a business when you have to deal with employees who are only making $10 hr. Unfortunately, work ethic is not what it used to be and employees often lack professionalism and courtesy. We have been very flexible in our scheduling to accommodate the needs of our employees since we opened and all it does for us put us in a bad situation each month when we try to write the schedule. I often tell my partner that writes the schedule that she is too accommodating in making sure everyone gets the time off that they request. So far being this accommodating has yet to benefit us.

David Carr Cut
The Houston Texans waived quarterback David Carr, the first draft pick in franchise history five years ago. Hopefully now he can sign a contract with a team that has an offensive line. Remember after being cut by Tampa Bay all Trent Dilfer did was go to Baltimore and win the Super Bowl.

Athletes are idiots, sports writers can't write, houses are overpriced and other amusing observations!
Antonio Bryant, a wide receiver for the 49ers was cited for drunk driving and speeding at speeds in excess of 100 mph while driving his Lamboughini. Idiot!
A writer for the Fresno Bee, in an article about the Fresno State Men's Basketball team made the brilliant observation that the team is off to its best start since the 2004-2005 season, wow, a whole one season in between. Good work!
CNN released a list of the top 10 overpriced major metroploitan housing markets in the country. 8 of the 10 markets were in California including the 9th ranked Fresno are where only 7% of people can actually afford the houses they are purchasing. I liked the top 10 affordable list personally, which ranged from between 80% - 90% affordability, houses averaged $80,000 - $140,000. Can you say, "I am ready to move."
I ordered a textbook for my Economics course I am currently taking, paid for overnight shipping. Should have recieved it today. Didn't. I am pissed because I paid $17.00 for overnight shipping and now with the holiday I will not recieve the text until Friday. They better refund my overnight shipping charges.
I find it kind of funny, although I know I would be upset if it happened at my house, however there are reports of people playing the new Nintendo Wii who have thrown their controller by accident and it has broken their television screen.
Matt Hughes got his butt kicked this weekend in UFC action. Finally about time the cocky ass lost. I don't think I have ever seen a fight where so many people cheered when the champion got knocked out.
In a related note Pride Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko will defend his title against Mark Hunt at Pride’s Shockwave show on New Year's Eve.
Madison said, "Hi Da Da" when I got home today. It is the first time she has strung toghether words that were recognizable, she has really been chatting alot lately in her own language, so I hope she begins talking soon. I really think Austin was already talking when he was her age.
Oh well, class is about out. I guess it is time to go and put the children to bed. Everyone have a good Thanksgiving.
