Licensed

Today we had our pre-licensing inspection. It really was more informal than I figured it would be. But all that matters was at the end of the inspection we were licensed. We were told that we would receive our facility profile sheet by fax on Wednesday which would show us having a provisional license.

What is next you ask. Well we now must send that facility profile off to Sacramento and wait for our rate to be set. This determines the amount that we will be reimbursed each month for each kid that we have in placement. I will be attending a crisis management training next week in San Diego and we have to get our workers compensation and liability insurance in place. Finally we have to begin hiring staff, and get them trained, then we can begin taking kids.
