Media Strikes Again...

Watching the news last night I heard about a tragic accident in southeast Fresno where a truck ran over a 4 year old girl. Very unfortunate and I have no problem with the media reporting on it. What I do have a problem with is the people they choose to put on television, do they not review their footage before airing it. They had a guy who was somewhat angry who said the following, "Pedestricans always have the right ofway, this guy was a truck driver, he had a class "C" license, he should know that." OK, first of all, people don't have the right to just walk out in to oncoming traffic and expect cars to stop for them, that is why we have stop lights and crosswalks, but I am not even saying that is at issue here, I do not know the details and am not defending the driver in the least. Second of all, if this guy had a class "C" license maybe that was our problem. We all have class "C" licenses if we are licensed to drive, however this guy, as a truck driver is required to have a class "A" license which hopefully he did. Which bring me back to the point, does the media not prescreen the footage they get on location before airing it and if they do was this the best Fresno has to offer.
